Matthew 6: 25-34 Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore, do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear? For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Father thank you for another opportunity to experience you during our stoms of life. Thank you for the love you show every day. Thank you for caring enough to show up every time. Thank you for being there. Thank you for your love. Thank you for your presence. Thank you, Father, for taking care of us. In Jesus name. Amen.

This week I led the prayer line for my former church. It continues to amaze me how gifts and talents that God buried within come bursting forth and people that overlooked or did not notice you as a person suddenly have a wide interest in including you. Iwas convicted this week by God’s presence and His word. The scripture above was the devotional scripture on Monday. As I went to select a devotional scripture for Tuesday, God showed me this scripture again. He pricked me that my work situation, He has it in His hands and to do my work as if I am doing it unto Him. Do it with excellence in mind and as if He is making the request. Do it without reservation and without pause.
So being reminded of His love for me, I willingly and obediently put on His will for my life and responded, not reacted. However. Responded with the love He has for me to my work situation. Willingly and obediently shared and listened to my co-worker share Christ with me. Willing and obediently did the bidding of my Father. Prayerfully shed more pride and ego. Hopefully, with faith picked up and pulled on some more Christlike characteristics of love, peace, and kindness.
