Forgive One Another

Colossian 3:13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

Thank you, Father, for forgiving our sins. May the love or you continue to grow in our hearts. May who you are in us shine brightly through Jesus. May peace reign in our mind body and spirit, enabling us to love like you. Enabling us to use that love to forgive. In Jesus name. Amen.

As I continue this journey with Christ as the head, it continues to be trying in understanding and communicating with others. I find myself subjected to emails versus conversation where a lot gets lost in translation. Often my communications go off into the abyss. Either to not be addressed and ignored or o it seems. You see I can create my own narratives for the why of something that is not addressed. I can create my own narrative to fit the negative self-talk or image at the time. The offense of being ignored for one to address emails important to them. My irritation is real. My irritation is not irrational because the tale I tell myself makes it true. It is true to me. It is true that where my mind goes my actions will follow. So, I retrain my mind to believe the good. He retrains my mind to believe the best. He retrains my mind to remove the aught in my heart, so that forgiveness, gentleness and kindness flow from my being. There may be no offense intended. There may be a busy schedule that is real, there may be a forgetful mind of work product. However, there may be an intentional slight at the ready. However, it is my choice to pick that offense up. It is my choice to turn a like response I have a choice in what I do. Lord help me make a choice that glorifies and pleases you. Help me choose forgiveness of another today. Help me forgive again, again and again. Even if my complaint is real. Father, please help me to forgive like you.

Father thank you for forgiving us repeatedly. Thank you for not holding a grudge. Thank you for not being so offended by our sin that you can’t forgive us. Thank you for loving us and giving us another chance at life with you. Help us to know you and abide in a relationship with you today. A relationship that shows the world who you are. Despite the pain and heartache of wrong. Our prayer today is that you continue to help us to forgive one another. In Jesus name. Amen.
