I Will Strengthen You

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you with My righteous right hand.

Father, with your strength all things are possible. Help us to lean into your will for our lives, not our own way. Tie us up with your power Father. Tie us up with a faith and belief in you so strong that the enemy trembles in fear at the very thought of trespassing. We thank you today for your strength. In Jesus name. Amen.

My mouth hurt so bad on Sunday. I mistakenly thought it would pass. What a delusional thought. It only got worse. It got so bad that two days later, I was in tears. On my way to work, only to bypass it and head straight to the dentist office. Once there, I was informed that my root canal was infected. I was given prescriptions for an antibiotic and pain and sent on my way. The only problem is it takes twenty-four hours for the medicine to penetrate the body. That period had already passed. I would need something stronger. Yes, I took the medicine. However, the pain was greater. After hour calls the dental answering service, put me in touch with my dentist, who extracted my tooth the next day. I am still in a space of thankful and gratefulness for her mercy. She was skind enough to text me late at night, way pass bedtime to say that she would come into the office for me. Off spring break with her children, for me. I missed two-days of work with a federal document due the next day. Upon my return, working twelve and ten hours respectively over the next two days. While on the horizon, I was vending at a vendor and craft faire that weekend for eight hours.

God’s strength enables us to do feats and perform acts of love at an elevated level that we are not able to do on our own. His strength calmed my fears concerning my place in the organization as I meditated on this important document and my absence during its composition. His strength gave me the courage to advocate for not waiting three days to take care of my tooth, and kindly yet firmly requesting that it be addressed right now. His strength upheld me and gave me the stamina to continue to show up for myself, friends, family, and peers although the pain was great. His strength helped me and encouraged others to extend acts of love when they did not have to.

God thank you for your strength, you continue to show us your loving kindness and diligence in the midst. You continue to cover us with your act of love. You have not forgotten us, nor do you overlook our needs. We thank you for your strength today. In Jesus name. Amen.
