Strong & Courageous

Deuteronomy 31:16 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Father, thank you for your supernatural strength and power. Thank you for your covering during this life journey. Thank you for not leaving me or forsaking us Father. Thank you for your loving care, compassion, kindness, and concern. May we lean into this when we are condemned, so that we are convicted by your never changing love.

I can’t see myself. Unless I look in the mirror, I can’t see myself. It is with awe, astonishment and surprise that I am often confronted with kind words of friends, or people that I have just recently met. This past week, two friends asked me to pray for them. Let me share I was stunned. I was stunned, because of such an intimate request. However, even more stunned because these two people that I know, thought to ask me to pray. Asked me, shall I say entrusted me to perform such an intimate and caring act. I was honored, that they thought of me in such a light to make the bold request. It encouraged me in ways that words cannot express. Glad, happy, ecstatic even to always pray. However, for another to see such a gift, is a blessing.  Grateful for God’s courage and strength to no longer shy away from acts of faith for which He calls me. Glad to appreciate and approach life with a faith and knowing that He is with me and going before me. Glad to know and believe that when Christ calls for me to do something, He will make a way for it to happen. Glad that His protection is real. Thankful that in my humanity, He can do more than I ever could. Thankful to be used. Thankful for His strength and courageousness.

So, with conversation, prayerfully they were encouraged. With words from Him, prayerful that their concern, worry or doubt was made to be at peace. Gleeful that He met us in the midst. Gleeful that the testimony He gave me to share was right on time. I did not know as I was going through. However, through prayer He showed us all, as I shared how He has brought me peace during my time of trial. We closed our conversation praying together.

Father, thank you for a peaceful mind. Thank you for your strength and courage that causes us to get up and try again. Thank you for always being present. Thank you for shrouding us in kindness, love and joy so that we can experience all that you are. Rising as Sphinx out of the fire to glorify you with the gifts and talents that you have lined within Father. Thank you for your strength and courage that casts out fear. In Jesus name. Amen.
