A Good Work in You

Philippians 1:6  being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

This life is full of surprises. It encompasses a smorgasbord of opportunities to choose. Based upon our choices, it determines the pitfalls and triumphs we encounter. These pitfalls and triumphs have a moment in time to mark our hearts, to change our perspective, and outlook concerning our opportunities. We can either spring forward and continue the momentum, pause and look around at the outcome in our post-traumatic stress disorder, or turnaround and go back home. However, whatever choice we make, He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

A good work. Romans 8:28 states, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to=o them who are the called according to his purpose. His word is true. Our choices, our God, He can still work it all out for our good. No choice that we make will stop God’s plan for our lives from coming to fruition. God works out all things – not some, not a few, not many, not a lot, He works out all things for our good saints. This does not mean that all that happens to us is good. Evil is prevalent in this world for sure, but God can turn it around to work in our favor. He can turn it around to fulfill the plan He designed for us when we were in our mother’s womb. It says in Jeremiah 1:5 how God had chosen Jeremiah to be a prophet before He was even born. His plan and purpose was established from the beginning. Psalms 139 verses 1 through 5: O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.  For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before and laid thine hand upon me.

God knows everything about us. He knows it all, even the number of hairs on our head. (Matthew 10:30), and still, he accepts and loves us. He is with us through every situation, in every trial-protecting, loving, guiding. He knows and loves us completely. God’s character is in every person He created. God’s Spirit is ready and willing to work in all of us. He thinks of us constantly. When someone you love is thinking of you all the time, it comforts you. God wants to keep us from falling and to catch us if we fall. When He catches us, He redirect us. When He redirects us, He guides us, When He guides us, he leads us back to the path, His path of righteousness and truth for our lives. Eah of us uniquely designed. Each of us uniquely created. Each of us, He is working a good work in. A good work in you will contain ups and downs. It will contain hardships, aches and pains. However, a good work will be done. He says it is so.

God helps us to appreciate the good work you are doing within us. Help us see you in all situations that we encounter. Help us go through with the same grace and mercy you continue to extend towards us Father. Amen
