salm 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
The taste of food can be extrodinary or the worst fate for our taste buds. Foodies are known for tasting and testing several culinary delights. From salty and savory, to sweet, to being able to decipher each seasoning in a dish. The taste of our Lord is the same and yet different. You see the taste of the Lord is always good. It may not be what we expect at the time. However, the flavor of it does change and is just as full and poignant. The aroma, that anointing can attract the senses and lure one into the Kingdom just as strongly and urgently as great grandmothers home cooked meal. Can we close our eyes and smell, see touch, and taste the goodness of our Lord? Can we evnvision the blessings that He bestows upon us who trusts in Him?
The taste of the Lord is seen in the B.I.B. L. E text that speaks of all the people before us that have glowed and grew by living the life they were blessed to receive. Let us look at Moses and the Nile River ride he took, only to live in the house of Pharoah. The King who enslaved his lineage and heritage. However, the taste of the Lord preserved Moses’s life. The taste of the Lord allowed him to lead his linage out of slavery. The taste of the Lord did not kill him when he took another’s life. However, the taste of the Lord allowed him to live and repent. Moses and those around him were able to taste and see freedom from Pharoah. They were able to taste and see the blessings of God through His provisions of food, shelter and meeting their needs during their disbelief. They were able to taste and see the Lord.
Trust in Him who is able. Trust in Him who is sure. Trust in Him who forgives. Trust in Him who created it all. Trust in Him. With our trust in Him, the no, we know is His protection. Trust in Him lets us see that rejection is good. Trust in Him, enables us to get up and try again. Trust in Him is an automatic response to life happenings, as we are not in control. Submitting to His will and obeying His every call and word is our action in putting our trust in Him. Not once, not twice, not three times, and yet all of our life we trust in Him. We trust in Him for this journey. We trust in Him for direction, teaching, leading, and guiding to the answer. We trust in Him.
