He Satisfies the Longing Soul

Psalm 107:9 For he satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness.

Father your goodness is in all you do. Help us to see it. Help us too not runaway or produce a plan for evasion. Help us to be bold and audacious in the tasks you have placed before us. Help us to release it all into your hands. In Jesus name. Amen.

I have had a yearning for peace, calm and simply zen for the last couple of months. Moments have come where my wish was granted. Whether it was sitting on a blanket during lunch in the middle of a workday. My early morning workout with my team. A vacation with the family whereby I totally disconnected. It has been a wonderous time. However, it has been fleeting as well. A moment that seems to come and go as if a puff of smoke. Then the yearning for it comes again. A cycle that never ends. What I have noticed, God’s presence is still there. For me, it has been my resistance in doing the tasks He has asked me to do. Because they are indeed bold and audacious. They are foreign to me and contradict my knowledge, lifestyle, and upbringing. However, they are the most bold and audacious tasks that shine His light, speak His truth, and never fail. When I have acted as He directed, spoken His truth, the peace, the mindfulness, the zen that descends upon my mind, body and spirit, priceless. His way is the only way that yields the harvest promised in His word for our lives. There are many unknown things of this world. However, this world will pass away. His word shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35.

Father, thank you for your word. You, our Father satisfies the longing soul. It is because of you that we have life. It is because of you, we have peace. It is because of you that we can experience joy in a way that the world cannot understand. In Jesus name. Amen
