Be Thankful

Colossians 3:15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

Father thank you for knowing what I need when I am confused, hurt, and overwhelmed. May the love of you reside n my heart during these trying times. May who you are continue to be reflected in and to the world. Even in the midst you are ever mindful to protect, shield and comfort us. Help us to be thankful today. In Jesus name. Amen.

The stress of life, at times, can be overwhelming. Work, self, home, family, friends, enemies, all overwhelming. Days, turn into weeks, weeks into months, months into years and we look up and it is all overwhelming. Time has gone by, and we have worked and lived without to true purpose or intent. There are some days, where the people we live with are in the house and yet we do not truly see each other. We do not truly spend time together talking and shaping each other into who God has called us to be in mind, body and spirit because we are consumed with the happenings of this world. To pause, to stop, to pray and have a conversation with God. To be able to hear from Him. Be thankful. Be thankful that He has not given up on us. Be thankful that there is yet another opportunity to do something different. Be thankful there is another opportunity to know His love. Be thankful that the joy of who He is resides inside each one of us. Be thankful that love is His book of law. Be thankful that joy does indeed come in the morning. Be thankful that time does lend itself to betterment of self. Be thankful that forgiveness is a character trait of who He is as the Father of all. Be thankful that peace is available to all when we cast our cares on Him.

Father as we go about our day. Help us to be thankful of your love for us all. Help us to be thankful that you never give up on your children. Help us to be thankful that peace of mind, body and spirit is possible. Help us to see you in all we encounter so that we know, have faith, trust and belief in you. In Jesus name. Amen.
