Psalm 138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revie me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.
What does trouble look like? It has many more shapes. Comes in many sizes. Many colors to behold and oh so much more. Trouble for me this week was wanting to give up on the relationship that I have invested in over 30 years. It has been so draining as I try to be holistically healthy in mind, body and spirit. Healing is a process that all do not adjust to readily. People around us are accustomed to our same response and when it begins to change from the normal, it can be daunting, scary and cause trouble in the midst. The constant strife in the midst of trouble, is it worth it?
It’s ironic how leaning into the Lord, prayer, reading His word, conversation with the saints of God. It all works to the good in the midst of trouble. It says in this verse, “You will revie me”. You will give me the ability to continue on. You will give me the strength that I need to endure. You will empower me to go back and try again. You Lord, You. If I can get out of my thoughts, if I can compromise, be compassionate, extend some grace and mercy. So, I look and lean on you Father in the midst of trouble. Thank you for your loving guiding hand. “You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies”, it says. Help us to see your hand Father. Help us to know that Your hand is right there with us in the midst of trouble. In the midst of trouble, let us not turn away. Let us not have a blind eye and lean to our own understanding Father. However, help us have the sense of your child and willingly put our hand in yours. Let us willingly take your hand. Let us know that Your wrath against our enemies, is much better than anything we care to dream of doing, let alone actually perform. Your wrath against our enemies is filled with loving correction. Your wrath in the midst of trouble, is a shield of protection. Coupled with Your right hand, its strength, blessing, and forgiveness. All of which only You can provide in the midst of trouble. It oversees that which I myself cannot control. You the crafter of all, have dominion and authority even in the midst of trouble.
The idea that in the midst of trouble, my Father can still save me. In the midst of trouble, the answer lies in my Dads right hand. In the midst of trouble, an answer and solution come from the source. In the midst of trouble, Father help me to still concentrate and see You. Because in the midst of trouble, You the source from which my life flows, is what matters the most in the midst of trouble.
I thank God for the inspiration He gives you Kimberly through the words that you pen for all of us to see. His words that you pen bring life. Keep allowing Him to encourage your heart so that in your obedience you encourage others. God Bless you.
