My Soul Knows Very Well

Psalm 139: 13 and 14 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

Our God, our creator and sustainer of all life, granted us a soul. A soul that seeks to know Him. A soul that thirsts for Him. A soul that looks to and fro for a relationship with Him.

In our soul is a question of who He is, where He is, and why did He create me? You see saints, it is the answers to these questions that cause us to continually go back to Him. It is the answer to these questions that causes us to read His word and pray. It is the answer to these questions that we seek. In seeking these answers, we desire a relationship. In a relationship, what happens? Well, with time, you get intimate with your partner. A willingness to become vulnerable is evident. A willingness to share certain aspects of one’s life is released as we stop holding back those areas of our life that we would otherwise be ashamed. And why hold back? He already knows. He created us. He ss omnipotent and omnipresent. So, He is always there seeing and knows it all anyway. In our relationship with Him there is an opportunity to bare all. To experience a freedom like no other. This is what our soul thirsts for. To be free of hurt, free of pain. To be replaced with His acceptance, love and forgiveness. To dwell with Him like a newborn child. Brought into this world free and clean. Or like the first snowfall on a crisp winter day where there aren’t any tire tracks, or it isn’t marred by the frolicking of children yet.

So, let us feed our souls. Let’s feed our souls on the goodness of our Creator, Daddy, and Father. Let us feast on all that is Him. Mind, body and spirit did He come. Mind. Body and spirit, should we dwell with Him. Because it is here saints that He wants us. It is here saints that our soul finds rest and peace. It is here saints where we hear His voice for direction for our lives. Our souls know HIs voice very well. If we would just be still and listen.
